Please, I have a problem with resources loading in Korg pa1x...it stops on the 14 percent when updating from hd, and on the second floppy, when from fd!
I must say that I have already tried everything, new OS loading with Intro 1, and everything else that I could find on the net...and nothing. I have no tones and no styles. Is my SSD broken? Is there any self test or service menu that I could use to check it out?
This is something I have never seen before and I had many many keyboards from pa series.
I have read a couple of articles here with people having the same problem, but nowhere is written the answer how to fix it!
Is there a connection between bad ram memory and this problem?
Please Help me! Thanks Embarassed

Try to load resources not from FD - if you have installed the new OS by Intro 1 - then make USB connection to your pc or laptop and transfer the ressources to your ssd. Then load ressources from ssd.

The link to the ressources is:

http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/software/history/preload/pa1x/Pa1X_res_v300_hd.zip

cu and good luck

How do you mean from SSD...I can only make a connection between laptop and internal HD of the keyboard....and I can not copy to ssd just to the hard disc! Or? Shocked
And I have already done that....and Nothing again.
So probably nobody knows what is the problem with this Pa1x pro.... Question

Hi, yes i meant HD - but my HD is a 32GB SSD - that´s the reason i wrote SSD - sorry for the misunderstanding.

Pete do you know the button combination to enter the internal check mode?

Maybe this is a solution to check the internal SSD if it´s ok.

Are you sure to wait long enough?
Sometimes there seems to be no progress in % but it´s loading.

Do you abort always after a minute if you see no progress or do you wait.

Does your key boot after installing OS without the ressources?

No, I do not abort, it stuck itself, on the 14 percent when loading from hard drive, and on the 2nd floppy, when loading from FD, and then it gives me a message, something like....The backup file is corrupted so and so, and the original data can be mixed with loaded data...something like that! Than I go on ok, and than I can see nothing loads, when I enter SSD to manually erase what is been loaded in that 14 percent, than i get the message device generic error, so I must load OS again with Intro 1 and everything goes from start....What is this ??? Sad

Yes "Intro 1" ensures that your keyboard is "cleared out" before the OS and resources are re-loaded - this is the most sensible option if you are having problems

I strongly recommend that you download a completely fresh copy of the OS and resources and try again - this should eliminate a file corruption issue.

Let us know how you go..

Yes...and again, I have bought a new pack of floppy disks, and downloaded from korgpa.com once again OS and Resources, installed everything..and nothing! Embarassed
Also tryed from HD once more.
Opened the keyboard, and taked out the motherboard, I thought maybe some connection is not quite good, but no.....There is no hope for it to be a siftware problem probably...or? Rolling Eyes

The next step is to get a Korg service engineer to check it out.

Cheers

And I would like to try to load other OS and Resources, for example version 1.0, from the disk that cames with the keyboard when it is new....But I cannot find to download it from somewhere....And if someone has it...please send it to me, or any other version except the newest 3.01 and 3.0 resources. Thanks
