Hi. I've got all the plugins from the entire Legacy collection working perfectly with no problems at all. I don't run 64-Bit DAWs, just 32-Bit. Even though all my plugins work perfectly in Reaper, Studio One, FLStudio, EnergyXT2 and Ableton, for some reason the Legacy Cell plugin either doesn't load or does not show up in the list of available plugins.

It will not run standalone either. Does anyone know if it just not possible to run Legacy Cell on Win7 64-Bit, or has anyone else got it working.

I understand the whole concept behind 64bit plugins not working in 32bit hosts and vice versa, and also the need for bridging when attempting this, but I'm not trying to do that. It just seems odd that the entire Legacy collection works perfectly, yet Legacy Cell will not. I'm running Wavestation, MS20, Polysix, MDEX, M1 and MonoPoly without any problems at all.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Will the upcoming 64bit Legacy collection solve this problem? I am assuming it is not just me and that this is a leftover from the 'legacy' (no pun intended) code from years back and that it will be addressed in the future release.

Or perhaps it is just me and I got something wrong?

I had a look through old posts on this subject but none of them seemed to refer to this subject specifically. I am not trying to bridge anything here, everything is 32 bit (apart from my OS), and anyway, all the other Korg plugins are working perfectly, just not the Legacy Cell .dll.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it is just to say - no it won't work.

Thanks.

Well, I installed the latest updates, this time to the default folder that the installer chose. This places all .dlls in a common folder, which can be a bit unsightly in some hosts, hence me making up my own logical folder structure before.

I don't know if it was the update or all the files being in the common folder but I've got Legacy Cell running now as a 32-bit plugin and standalone, which of course doesn't have a 64-bit version anyway, even though there is a 64-bit Legacy Cell plugin.

I only installed what was needed to test the 64-bit version of Legacy Cell, that is the MDEX, PolySix, MS-20 and of course the Legacy Cell .dll as well. All working well in 64-bit REAPER.

I doubt it was the update that made things work, probably if I'd used a bit of thinking outside the box, or even logical deduction, and placed all the needed components in a common folder, then it probably would have been ok. I only thought to try this as an afterthought when installing the new updates. Everything works perfectly and no glitches with old tracks make with any of the plugins.

It doesn't seem like anyone at Korg is listening, but I'm not interested in 64-bit plugins, though what would be nice is a plugin that is actually readable on a 1920x1080 monitor. I tend not to use the plugins at all these days as it is impossible to read the displays at this resolution. Also, probably the second most requested feature apart from bigger displays would be the ability to use the Wavestation and M1 and MonoPoly in combination in the Legacy Cell, and to be able to use all of them in one go would be even better, but I'm dreaming now...

Anyway, thanks to Korg for some amazing plugins and a free update that will come in handy to some people by the sounds of it. I'm just using them as preset synths now, which is a shame, but I'm not complaining, I've got thousands and thousands of sounds to choose from, and I can just about tweak anyone I like into shape with a minimum of effort, but it's a waste of amazing sound-design potential, coz as you all know, these synths were made to be programmed.

Still, I'm happy I got the Legacy Cell up and running, having figured out that all the .dlls need to be in the same folder. Doh!

I am not sure what problem you had, but I am glad you fixed it.

I have never had any trouble using the Korg installer suggested installation paths:
-- Main Components C:\Program Files (x86)\Korg\Korg Legacy
-- VSTs \Your VST Location\KORG (subfolder)

Regarding size it would be nice to have larger displays but I wouldn't count on it. I get the impression that all music companies have been hurting financially for the last few years so I assume Korg only wanted to spend the minimum amount of money to update the KLC to 64-bit.

I solved the issue

Copy MS20, MS20E, Polysix DLL files into your LC DLL folder and it should work.
