Hi Broders and sisters!
a Friend gave me a electribe esx1..
But im frekin out because i cant ear any sound!!!!
When i push the botton SONG i cant ear nothing but if I push the step keys i can ear it
i cant ear PATTERN too but the stepkeys yes! Do u think there is something broken? Icant ean any pattern but they are shown in the display and the step keys seems are workin...
Im very sad.....

Seems that the key PLAY doesent work at all...
dont play nothing...
Also the display appears weird....dont show any name just a.o4 for the pattern and thats all...
ehat i shall do?
trow it away?
can i repair? Crying or Very sad

if nothing is programmed, pressing play will just play blank steps...you have to record something before you can play it!

also, songs are combinations of patterns...start by making a few patterns, then arrange them into a song, then push play

Oh!Wau thank u man im going crazy...
Im so ignorant sorry!!!
So do you think that the old owner delete all the pattern and the demo song of the fabrication?
Infact when i push the key SAMPLE i can hear the samples!
But the function in the display (page 15 of the manual) the indicator 4, 5,6 and 7 doesent not appear!!
like no smart media indicator....

do you think can i reupload the original sounds of the machine?

I tried to save a pattern and then play but nothing....

ok
if there is no pattern saved why When i push some drum keys quickly some step keys light...
seems that there is some pattern saved because every drum keys when pushed let illuminate the stepkeys correspondent
but i cant hear the whole..

Of all the pattern from a.01 to d.64 only the first 5 have some sound charged in the drum keys and in the keyboard keys!! the other from a.06 to d.64 have no any sound correspondent in the drum keys etc....
what's happened? The old owner delete everything? How can i restore all the drum kit?

and another question....
I have a cd with samples...how can i put on the machine????
The smart media semms too big to enter in my pc!!!!
Sorry but i no have idea of those thing!

Learning to use these machines takes a bit of time and a lot of patience. I suggest loading a pattern, enter PART EDIT mode, hit Drum Part 1 and use the wheel to pick a sample. Once you can hit that Drum 1 button and hear a sound, fill in the step buttons at the very bottom. The lit ones should make a sound. Now do this to a bunch of parts and this is how you make your beat.

Once you're comfortable with the basics of beat construction, let us know and we can help you learn to make your own samples.

Any way i was thinkin to find an usb Smartcard adapter and reload the factory samples...cause i think the last owner delete a lot of it.... Rolling Eyes

mmmmm...i have done...but still when i press play i cant ear the sound...
how can i adjust the bpm?
the key step illuminates and i set the drum but then?

Guys...sorry for the big amount of post....
I really think the machine is broken...
For example...
i saw a tutorial on youtube
when i edit pattern i am able to assign a sound to a part to create a rithym on the step keys but if i push play no blinkin light go around and no sound comes out...
And if i put the finger on the arpeggiator when i select a sound i cannot ear anything!!!
maybe the arpeggiator and the key PLAY are f***ed up?! Rolling Eyes

The past owner changed the samples but There are some!!! Im not able to let run the blinkin light n the stepkeys to play the rithm that i configure !!
is it possible send to the korg to repair? Crying or Very sad

My only advice is to make sure you're in Pattern or Part mode and try to play, AND MAKE SURE THE KEYBOARD BUTTON ABOVE KEY 4 IS NOT LIT before trying the play button again. If it doesn't show a light scrolling across the buttons there may be a problem.

Make sure clock mode is Auto or Int(ernal) and not Ext(ernal)
