Hi Abybrave101

First of all. What are you trying to do or what do you want to do. To connect your laptop or to any computer you will need the appropriate leads. i.e midi leads or midi to usb lead.

All the leads will do is connect the i3 to your computer, so what next? you will need a programme or software to enable you to use the i3 sounds etc

Thanks for your reply.
Basically I have lost the original disk that came with the I3. I wondered if I could use the midi connection to re install the original set up from Laptop.

Also to use Midi files etc I have without having to get a usb "floppy Drive".

I know the Korg site has the original disk online and some more bagpipes, which I assume would have been transfered to floppy. Can I avoid the floppy option?

Thanks in advance. And if you know other sites with files, backing tracks arrangements, voices etc that might be handy too.

Oh and i also believe your I30 has a 20w power consumption, Mine is 11w so I guess the 5amp won't harm it.

Hi Aybrave

I have a copy of the i3 floppy

No Power lead, no disc, require backing tracks etc etc
Did you find this in a gift shop?

lol no, A cousin had borrowed it and he lost a lot of stuff. (including a Peavey KB100 amp, which he broke)

But for the original disk, can I run it from online (midi) or do i need the physical disk?

Thanks

Hi Aybrave

I sent you a private message.

In short you really do need a usb floppy, as otherwise how are you going to load any files into the i3. Midi as far as I am aware only works with a programme. If you were able to get your computer to recognise the i3 harddrive in "my Computer" then it may be possible. This starts going out of my comfort zone.

I would get the floppy drive and most of your problems are solved.
