|

Hi all,
I always wanted to get me a synth with lots and lots of features - something like the M3 or Kronos. I still do, but something has just come up, and so I might have to make one more purchase before I get a machine with more features than my M50.
Although I have been playing the keyboard for quite a few years, I never took proper lessons. Now I might have the opportunity to do so. Only thing is that I'm a student and as the university I attend is quite far from my home, I don't want to carry my M50 with me every time. And as there's no point in taking lessons without the possibility to practise at home, I was thinking of getting me something 'cheap', but at the same time nice-sounding and inspiring (to help me write my compositions).
I'm leaning towards the Microstation, because it's very close to the M50 soundwise + it doesn't take up a lot of space. The only thing I don't know is whether the mini keys are helpful for someone who wants to learn some playing techniques (note, I don't play piano parts that often). Here the Microstation costs 419 Euros. I might be able to buy a used X5D for only 250, but for some reason, the Microstation seems still more appealing to me.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for the tips
