Hi Guys,
I have a 64x64 image, I have it in jpg, gif and png format.
I have tried uploading it in Safari and internet explorer in all formats.
And all I get is : "The avatar filetype must be .jpg, .gif or .png"
Any ideas?
Cheers
Andy |

I've never been able to get the forum to upload any avatars from my machine. I get the same error as you. Perhaps Sharp knows a way?
I've uploaded your avatar on to an image hosting site and then uploaded the image from there. _________________ Current gear: Korg Kronos 61, Voicelive 2, Shure SM58, Alesis M1 Active 520, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 |

Same here. I uploaded an avatar back in 2009, but tried to update it, and I couldn't. I remember when I used to run a PhpBB forum, and the issue was permission on the upload folder.
I'll email it to you too, Pp. _________________ Martin Ocando

What you need to do is instead of trying to upload the avatar from your machine, you need to upload it to an image hosting site.
Then, select the option on your profile to upload Avatar from URL. Enter the image URL, save your profile and hey presto, you have an Avatar.
I have done it for you on this occasion. _________________ Current gear: Korg Kronos 61, Voicelive 2, Shure SM58, Alesis M1 Active 520, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 |

thankyou Pepperpotty,
For doing that for me.
Can I make a suggestion that you delete the option in profile to upload an aviator image directly to----
this will eliminate topics like this from ever happening on the----
On a personal level, I think you guys/gals(admin) are doing a great job of running this---- and I congratulate you. _________________ My Machines:-
