Almost 20 years ago, I was in a band where our lead singer played a Sequential Circuits Prelude analog synthesizer, primarily for strings sounds.
Ever since, I've never really been able to find any other synth or sampler that recreated that sound very well (and I suppose it's a pretty obscure little unit to start with, since people focus more on the later Sequential Circuits products like the Prophets).
I found a YouTube video where one is demoed though, and from 4:18 on, he demos the strings (the strongest feature of this synth, by far, in my opinion).

Any suggestions for a VST that does this, by any chance? |
