Kronos sequencer strikes again! 13 tracks of Kronos, 1 track Virus, 1 track Deepmind 12, 1 track Deepmind 12D (all running into the Kronos).
Definitely worthy of an X-File investigation. Very Sasquatchy!
Nice use of the Kronos sequencer. Different music in different video scenes with different tempos. How did you align the music for each scene to the video? Was this 1 song, multiple songs, or a cue list with 1 song? Or (gasp) even RPPR triggering a MIDI phrase and/or Audio sample for each different scene? _________________ bpoodoo

Hey, thanks for commenting. This was one song, using only MIDI tracks, and one tempo - 120BPM. I don't always adhere to the start of a measure. Changes can occur at any point. I used at least one tempo change to keep the music where I wanted it.
I would work on one scene, then play it back. My computer is behind me, so I turn to look at it. As soon as I start the picture, I tap my Kronos' foot switch, which is assigned to Sequence Start/Stop.
Usually I need to line up something, like a percussive hit. I go into MIDI Event Edit and move it forward or back; maybe adjust the velocity and duration, until it matches up with what I'm watching.

Nice sounds Mike.
Just checking - Are you Scoopicman from Youtube? I heard this, and it sounded so much like your work. If so, love your videos, keep them coming. I could especially use some help with MIDI controls _________________ Dave Kalbach

A very practical and effective workflow - thanks for the reply! _________________ bpoodoo

About a year old, but i didn't have a SoundCloud account back then. I wrote 4 songs in quick succession upon purchasing the Kronos, of which this is the shortest. All sorts of problems with it but it was more a case of testing what the Kronos could do, largely with pre-sets. I think the bass and guitar are real on this song; otherwise, it's all Kronos and my own woeful voice. The other 3 songs are part of a playlist called Kronos EP if you're interested.

I put this together in less than a couple days -- it's definitely not perfect but it's kinda catchy. It's called "Mist." I am working on a video version. This one is just a blank screen, lol. Enjoy...
For anyone interested, I did this with the help of my KronosX 73, M3, TS12, Oasys, XS7, and a JD-08.

I used a few pieces of gear from my studio for this cut. Even my antiquated TG500 got involved. I still love the old keys and racks. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't older gear lasting longer than newer stuff? In any event, I hope ya'll enjoy this one -- "Unsettled Heart."

It was suggested to me that I should post it here. I completely forgot about this thread even though I have several songs on it already. I'm not senile! Yet! I hope!
I've got 2 Kronos sounds on it, one being organ but the other uses the MS20 sound, I thin it's called Trill Harmonic. I played with the resonance and filter knobs while I was playing it.
I also made some noisey type sounds on my KingKorg.
Then I've got Cubase drums, Stratocaster and Ibanez bass. All recorded on Cubase 12 Pro. Hope you like it.
