Right now the Kronos has the best implementation of SST around. _________________ Korg Kronos, RD-88, Yamaha VL1, Deep Mind 6, Korg Kross, author of unrealBook for iPad. |

At home in my studio I have 3 keyboards stacked with the Kronos 73 on the bottom. A volume, sustain, and foot-switch for the kronos and 2 more sustain pedals for the U-20 and Wavestation. I like to use the switch to change leslie speeds on the Kronos but I also want to use ti to do setlist changes. I've thought about a multi pedal like the Behringer but what with all the pedals I already have there just isn't enough room. After watching Dream Theater 2 weeks ago I saw that Jordan was using his joystick to control leslie speeds. I'm wondering if I can set it to do that while on an organ sound; switch program on the touch-screen and then use the foot-switch to continue doing program changes until I get to another organ sound where again I have to use the touchscreen. I don't think I'll be bringing 3 keyboards to gigs so I might just have to get a multi pedal. I'm used to using a pedal to control the speeds. My old amp had the effect built in and sometimes when I'm doing big organ things I like to change the leslei speed. Sounds very cool! _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

If I remember right, I think the joystick (joystick up) is set to Leslie speed on most if not all of the organ patches, and the switches on the left of the board are set to chorus on/off. Shouldn't be difficult to get used to, as some of us will remember....grabbing the Leslie speed control with with the keft hand on a B3. However, I do prefer a footswitch now that I have one for the XK-1, or when using my Motion Sound amp.
I only have a few tunes which require multiple set list selections, but I do use lots of keyboard splits (up to 3 on some). The set list and SST works great for me. I'm especially fond of the dedicated set list EQ. _________________ Yamaha S90es, Hammond XK-1, Kronos 88, Gibson Les Paul, American Deluxe Strat, Taylor accoustic, Vox amp, Motion Sound Pro 145, KC-550s x2, a bunch of plugins, and a Kawai grand. |

Joystick up definitely leslie speed. I just might have to get used to doing it the old fashioned way. _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
