Hi
I have just purchase a Kronos 73 and I'm in love with it, just can not leave it alone.
The more I play with it the better it gets.
When I first swiched it on I saw the nine engines but never since.
My question is how do you get back to the very first page showing the nine engines?

Don't know of any page that shows the nine engines. Were you perhaps thinking of SET LIST mode? There is a dedicated button to the right of the display.

Well, if you're looking to play around with the 9 engines to start with I recommend jumping to bank U-G which should be an EXi bank by default. Grab an Init program and jump to the common tab and choose one or two EXi engines to start messing about with.
Might I recommend AL-1 or MOD-7 for starters?

Good luck!

As far as I know there's not such menu page allowing you to select which engine you want to play with.

Something like that? Couldn't it be a first boot screen? I'm not sure since my K didn't arrive yet.

I've never seen that screen anywhere on my Kronos.

The boot screen looks like this the entire time:

I also know of no such screen which displays the familiar 9-engine overview from the manual's cover and product literature. It's possible, though, that it may be displayed immediately after installing new firmware and turning it on for the first time- just a guess. That or just fanciful hallucinations chalked up to extreme excitement and anticipation! Wink

But, regardless, the EXi engines (this excludes the HD-1 engine) are all available from the Common tab of an EXi program. The bank types are set in Global mode. Cheers!

My guess is that lotty1 is thinking of Set List 000: Preset Set List.

Dan, that's my guess too.

The grouping of the nine icons doesn't actually appear in Kronos. If you want a quick tour of the nine engines, I'd go to the first preset Set List (the first screen that appears when you power-on a Kronos). The top three rows of slots are a guided tour of the nine engines. Touch one, read the description at the top, then press the PROG button to "zoom in" on the sound and explore it.

Programs are also organized by engine in the User banks:
User bank A- HD-1
User Bank B- AL-1
User Bank C - CX–3
User Bank D - STR–1
User Bank E – MS20EX, Polysix EX
User Bank F - MOD–7

Hope this helps,
-Rich

i have a stupid question. on the Oasys I used to have program mixed (a piano, a synth, a guitar, a bass, a drum, and so on, and then again, a piano, a synth, a guitar, a bass, ecc......)
can I have the same thing on Kronos or I have to maintain the program on that order?????

I'm facing the same issue. While boot up, before it used show all engine names on the screen. But all on a sudden it stopped showing. How to deal with it?

You should see as the pic below during bootup. Note that if for some reason the engine logos don't show now, it's no big deal if everything works correctly when your Kronos starts. Do you run the latest Korg OS and firmware ?
