|
|
Hey guys, this is my first post that isn't an obligatory greeting message, and it's - in all honesty - a cry for help!
Now, I have a very minor knowledge of Midi composition (don't worry, I know it's a controller and NOT an audio format!). However, I'm having problems with MIDI saving on my new Microstation.
Quite simply, saving my song into the SWF format on my microstation, should, as I understand, save it as a MIDI file. I've installed the USB MIDI drivers for the Microstation on my PC, and all other relevant software. However, when I play my midi file back on my PC, the sounds are all wrong. The drums are the most noticable, playing back as a crude guitar sound instead of a drum kit. As you can imagine given how drum inputs are performed, this sounds rather like a jumbled mess.
I've searched countless help forums elsewhere, inquiring about MIDI drivers and Vista compatibility, to no avail. So, I simply ask that somebody can explain why this is occuring and the (most likely) obvious solution to solving it. I'm running Windows Vista and have so far attempted to play back the file in Winamp and Media Player. It's also worth noting that I'm playing the file back from the SD card - could this perhaps have something to do with it? Would my PC need to read the files directly from the Microstation in order to 'read' the relevant programs correctly?
Thanks for any help you might be able to give me, and go easy on me - I haven't touched a keyboard or a midi device for nearly a decade now! |

Hi,
I'm also a newbie, just started sequencing. The guides say you can only save a song to an SD card. _________________ Reesa B. (aka Reesa and The Rooters) |

Hello,
I'm new here to and I signed up to help, and get help from other microstation users.
I'm trying to figure this out too. I'm fooling around with it right now and I will report back with anything I uncovered that will help us. |

Save the song as a sequence and then all settings for the song will be saved.
Not a newbie anymore _________________ Reesa B. (aka Reesa and The Rooters) |
