On the programs page I selected a brass patch.
Then on osc1/basic page I added mutisamples to the program (extra brass waveforms)
But I cant hear them.
The levels are 127, still nothing.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Are the multisamples loaded? Also, how many layers (within the OSC1) do you have?

They are just korg multisamples from the internal rom, just trying to make the sounds fuller

you can't layer multisample within same OSC... you have to use OSC2.... Within a single OSC, you only velocity swith among multisamples..

Shakil...you are almost correct.

I am just getting familiar with the way Korg programs are created. I had a similar issue as dtray187. The OSC1 page has 8 slots. I used four of the slots by adding a sample to each. But Kronos will not allow you to layer 4 samples assigned to the same range. You can only layer up to 2.

So what I did was set MS1 to XFade range=127 and Curve=Layer. Then I added a sample to MS2. These settings allow me to lawyer two multisamples. In the OSC window, you will see two bars...one green and one blue which is a representation of the layers.

I honestly find this way more difficult than it needs to be. It should be as simple as assigning 1 to 8 MS (multisamples) to an OSC, and setting the velocity and key range.

So let me get this straight...

If I started from scratch and wanted to make a brass patch, using both osc 1-2.

there are 8 slots on each in the window.

How many slots on 1 and 2 can I actually use to stacks sounds?

I know on motif xs there are 8 elements per patch.

Can I get up to 8 between both osc's?

The key word is 8 "velocity zones." You can assign 8 multisamples to the 8 velocity zones; but no more than 2 zones will playback when you strike a key. Kronos OS is designed more for velocity switching with smooth transitions between each velocity zone; not for stacking 8 (or 16) sounds to be triggered on one key.

Using both OSC 1 & 2, you can trigger 4 sounds (multisamples) with a single key.

I hope I explained it clear enough.
