Why should anyone trust you when you only post a stock photo? If you can't be troubled to post detailed photos, who knows what else you're hiding. |

That will help buyers a lot, and you'll probably get more bids. The problem is that there's a lot of fraud on eBay, so having photos with a time/date stamp that are unique to your item can also help buyers to weed out fraudsters from legitimate sellers like yourself. Hi res photos that are clearly in focus and properly lighted helps. The photos are the only way for buyers to see what they should be getting, and they also help if the item delivered is not the same as shown, since the ebay listing is the basis for legitimate returns where the item doesn't match the description and photos. For legitimate sellers, the photo's don't hurt your chances of getting bidders, since even if there are minor scratches and scuffs, showing them in the photos actually helps you if someone complains about these problems even though they were clearly shown. Ebay will tend to back you up if the buyer should've known exactly what they were getting by the listing details. Some synth sellers also post a video showing that all the keys and knobs work, and it sounds alright. |

Glad to help. Nope, not buying, just helping you sell it for a good price. I got my R3 in 2008, and I'm keeping it for now. I've watched ebay for many years (and bought/sold occasionally), so I have a feel for how the auctions for music gear go. A detailed listing with good photos generates a lot more interest from legitimate buyers. Just watch out for foreign buyers who want to conduct the sale outside of ebay, or use a escrow company other than paypal, because they are usually scammers. |
