Thanks Ronny
Gee - the demos are getting worse....
Why would someone upload PA3X demos with the video completely out of sync and running slow (maybe they work for Yamaha
Cheers

Question: is the guy actually playing on the third part at the piano or is it "playback" ?
The fingers doesn't seem to "press" the same notes.
Even if they are supposed to be late or earlier because of the audio/video delay...
Is there a direct recorded demo?
I mean not thru the mic of the camera?
I clean , true , sound?
All I could find is recorded from the room with incorporated mics of the videocamera. _________________ Korg M3-61, Korg i40m, Kurzweil SP76 |

Now what does all this remind us of???
Audya anyone? I thought Korg would be a step up from THAT marketing campaign.
But have no fear, once it is properly released at MusikMesse, all will be forgiven and all these nasty vids will disappear.
Replaced by absolute gems fully showcasing what I expect to be a superb keyboard. (not for me, but still a superb keyboard!!!)

That is very poorly done. I actually feel bad for the demonstrator, who clearly didn't know, or have time to get to know, the instrument.
Yes, MusikMesse may have improved showcases, but in the meantime, competitors like Yamaha certainly will not be sleeping.
Rumor has it the new CVP and PSR-S-Series will be at MM, plus a whole bunch of upgrades, premium styles, and new voices for the Tyros4.
I am not brand loyal in any way...I use what works for me, and reproduces my ideas best. Right hand voices are very important to me, as I favor instrumental music, and styles are also something I use a lot.
Right now, the PA3X appears, and sounds too much like the PA2XPro...Yamaha's upgrade from Tyros3 to Tyros4 was substantial, as I have played both...the RH voices are knockouts, especially the sounds lifted from the Motif; the vocal patches are excellent, even though they have been featured way too much...there are other incredible sounds.
Having said that, I'm hoping Korg redeem their PA3X at MM, at least enough to be able to stand side by side with Yamaha's Tyros4, as the two finest arrangers being made.

Yep!! But its arranger features and OS have not changed at all. It is all about sounds and not the "arranger" - would love it as a sound module - as an arranger - nice, but far from professional.
(just my personal experiences)

Pete,
I'm not sure what features on the T4 are lacking for your useage?
Maybe you could help me out on my decision by letting me know what's missing on the T4 that you/(maybe me too) need?
Remember I don't play out professionally, but why woud that matter?
Oh...I don't sing at all either.
Thanks,
Lee |

Hi Lee
See my post here (about half way down the page):-
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=58050&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
It seems that some of my concerns may not affect you as we have different needs.
I was frustrated with the Tyros OS even when simply recording with my band - just lack of ease within the screen manipulation during a number.
Cheers

Pete, Dennis...you too
I just reviewed the list again and I see a lot of valid points...
I'm confused...So, my question is how do all these other people perform live so easily with the Tyros series? demo after Demo on youtube...no problems noted. My God you watch Telmo and it is effortless.
They are performing live and some pretty complex songs too. How do they do it ?
You know when I got the PA2...I came from T2. It took a lot of study and playing to get used to the OS on the PA. Maybe if one spent a lot of study/time playing the T4 would it just be that you do things different...not that they are missing?
The Yamaha players say they love the OS and did not care for Korg OS when they had one? I does not make sense to me....
