It was answered countless times still seems to be a perpetual question, so I've included the answer in my sig. Smile

Or this should be in the "OASYS Tips and Tricks" sticky thread.

Love the FUNCTION button explanation. But I need to add a correction. It's a misprint and should read FunKtion Button. It's reserved for turning your OASYS into a KRONOS and the touch of a button.... Rolling Eyes

back to topic..ihope that korg doesn't repeat the same mistake of the M1 and T3 when they did excluded the legato and portamento sweeps from them ..ihope they dont do the same thing here by excluding the Z1 engine..back then it was impossible to give the t3 software than can add the legato and portamento..while now and after we alll know that korg still have the license to use physical moduling ..the Z1 engine can be easly add via software upgrade and i suggest that korg introduce 2 expansion engines for the kronos that could be bought just like the real moss must be bought to have physical moduling ...i suggest that korg sell Z1 engine and MMT engine as an upgrades for the kronos ..iam sure that kronos is powerfull enough to with stands those expansions and also iam sure that korg will make alot of profits from such an idea Idea hope some one from korg reads this

I would absolutely LOVE a Z1 emulation in KRONOS. KORG, here's your chance to stir up some more sales.

Lot of caps in those sentences... Razz

When is Korg gonna start producing decent audio demos, the demos on the website are typical Korg pile of crap, cheesiest, outdated crap. The campany this big can't have a better musicians do demos for them?! Based on those kind of demos i will not want to buy Kronos. Take them down, don't embarrass yourself.

I totally second the Z1 addition. Keep Z1 alive!

Demos are tough. Put up any demo and I will find you people who love it AND people who hate it.

I personally do not think the Kronos demo are bad at all.

I would suggest you not buy a Kronos until you get a chance to demo one in a store.

But it would be nice with something more modern, like Lady GaGa or technoesque type songs, that could actually be something in the realm of top40.

Danatkorg made a spiderman thing song a while back, that sounded pretty good!

Instead we're presented with balding-Gandalf arpeggio styled riffs that dont qualify anything melody wise in them.

I disagree! There is more music in those riffs than in whole albums of miss GaGa. Very Happy

Everybody knows these great OASYS demos from Jordan. Since the Name has changed, they are perfect to show the 100% similar possibilities of Kronos.

1. guitar, fretless bass, flute, maracas
2. jazz guitar, vibraphone, double bass, cymbals
3. strings
4. pizzicato strings
5. orchestral percussion
6. sitar
7. rock organ, guitar, drums

Those videos are not sounds from the OASYS, it is merely used as a controller.

Oops. (Maybe I've read something about it somewhere - and I forgot.) Sorry. Embarassed Can you send a link about it?

PS. This still could be the OASYS/Kronos. Wink

You haven't heard her music then?
They are full of great talent, wonderful melodies and good arrangements.

And I haven't heard anyone call her "miss" either haha
