I take it that the iMS20 and iElectribe do not currently (and probably never will ) take advantage of the new MIDI support in iOS 4.2? _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

I've updated my iPad to iOS4.2 but I've not yet checked to see if MIDI support is available in the Korg apps.
I guess if it was built into the app, it will now be visible, but failing that I guess an update to the apps from Korg will open up MIDI support.
I personally feel that Korg will make sure the iMS20 is MIDI compliant, but they might choose to leave iElectribe alone.
Cheers,
Krog. _________________ Korg : Electribe MX-1, Microsampler, Kaoss Pad Quad

I have many iPad synth apps, including iMS20. The only one I can control with iOS 4.2 MIDI is miniSynth PRO.
Sure would be cool if I could control iMS20 with my old MS-20 USB controller (from the Legacy Collection)!!! BTW, this controller wouldn't talk to the iPad (needed too much power) until I connected it through a powered hub. Looks like we need reports on which bus powered MIDI keyboards can work with the iPad without external power. |

The m-Audio oxygen 49 3rd gen. Keyboard works great with the iPad... But so far only in mini synth pro. Let's hope Korg adds this feature soon to iMS20. |

|
|
For giggles I plugged a novation controller into the iPad, and am sure with some setup of a template could control this nicely....however I see quite some latency on the midi in..a noticeable lag between key press and audio output.. , and a slow reading oc control changes.. Is this a low rate polling of midi?
Anyone else see this.? |
