I don't own a microkorg and thus don't have the patch, but have you tried turning off mod sequencing, all your patch destinations, any filter envelope options, and your arp?

That preset program has two timbres that are layered. Do Swap Timbre (p59 manual) then change from Layer to Single (p16). You need to do the swap first because the sinewave bass you want is on Timbre2, and when you go from Single to Layer then only Timbre1 is used while Timbre2 is disabled.

This took me 15 seconds to figure out. I loaded the MK presets into the MKXL Editor, clicked on A62 to look at it, then I saw a noise patch on timbre1 and a sinewave patch on timbre2. I don't own the MK or MKXL.

This shows why the software editors are so useful even if you don't own the hardware. The editor gives you a much better way of seeing what a patch is doing than menu diving with the LCD and knobs.

I think you'll find all the editors useful to explore their patches to convert them manually or just to get ideas from them. I have all of them loaded, plus editors for other synths too such as the FantomX editor. Before I buy a synth I also try the editor to see what's really inside the engine, and to see if the editor works without the hardware.

Hey friend, just wanted to say thank you for this answer. This patch was really frustrating me, and the MicroKorg Editor doesn't work on my device. A bit rude of you to say "hurr durr if you'd've just installed the eDiToR you could have figured this out in less than a minute," but still very helpful.

Next time though, be sure to futureproof any advice you give.
