I'm contemplating buying a Korg XVP-10 to use with my SV-1, but having read over the manual and trying a couple of pedal substitutes I can't figure it out... do you use a standard mono 1/4" cable or a stereo 1/4" cable? How exactly does the pedal connect (which jacks on the pedal are used?). Korg doesn't seem to have any downloadable info on the XVP10 and the owners manual isn't clear on this. Thanks! |

I don't have the XVP-10 myself, so I cannot try, but what I read in the manual of the XVP-10 it is important that you don't connect anything to the INPUT connector when you want to use it as expression controler. So you only connect 1 stereo cable to OUTPUT1 (or 2 if you like) and connect this to PEDAL 2 of the SV-1. Therafter you have to do the calibration as described in the maual of the SV-1. |

Thanks... that makes sense. I didn't think to look for a solution in the XVP-10 manual. Although Korg expression pedals are recommended in the SV-1 manual, there's nothing about what kind of cable or pedal connection to use when hooking them up. |
