Yes its true, lets not turn it into a is it isnt it or whats wrong and whats right
or waranty and stuff as we have the habit of always doing that.
You can upgrade your PA800 up to 128 or 256MB RAM, also you can add and
expand the SSD and you can expand the user DrumKits from 64 to 128.
I thought i'd share the link and yes, i've already seen 2 upgraded synths,
one from a Turkish guy and one Greek guy. It works as it was from factory.

Hi Nedim

Thanks for the info - great news for PA800 owners. Does it take exactly the same memory boards as the PA2Xpro?

Thanks

I am not sure, i cannot understand German that much nor i can
confirm by the picture but as far as i know i think it is the same RAM.
And i dont also know if its a Mailed upgrade where you do your own
thing or it has to be shipped in. The 2 guys i know both travel so they
had it done there but this is new, we will get more info.

Well what I can say is that I contact this people before but the person who answer the phone told me that I have to bring my keyboard to then in able to do the memory RAM upgrade because he said it can damage the keyboard if I do it myself because he need to soldering something's in the motherboard so I thing they find an other way to do it.. I hope its not complicated to do it....Looking forward for more information about this NEWS I'm so happy about this NEWS...

Paul.
Question for neverkorgagain.
you said :
128mb - 298eur
256mb - 289eur

so that means that the 256MB is cheaper then the 128MB?
if thats true its good..

Its not korg release, but u have a warranty from that company, korg could do tht option at start, but they dont care anymore for their customers as they did b4.... i dont like when some1 decide how moch memory is enough instead of final pa800 user... with this memory limit KORG limits our creativity... i dear someone to tell me im wrong, why they didnt do this when they launched pa800.... answer is simple, TO TAKE MUCH MORE MONEY FOR PA2X... and i forgot to tell u, KORG did a memory restriction in pa800.... anybody can tell why?

in time when wave sample, vst instruments or single loop are 10-20 and more mb, our favourite factory give us a aranger with 64 mb? Funny...

they better have a option.... for more, and more memory, if I want 1gb ill pay extra money, if some1 need 512mb he will pay a little less.... if some1 need 2gb ram he will pay.... but this is GARBAGE!!!

so IM GLAD I FOUND OUT BOUT THIS FIRM!!! and sorry 4 my long post, greetings.

man oh man, will you ever be happy?! What do you want from Korg, to give you things for nothing, or to give you a top instrument for peanuts?
think it this way: you can either buy it of leave it. If you buy it, do what ever you want with your instrument, to tune it fine after your taste, but don't expect Korg, or whoever else, to not try to get your money for thier most expesive products. it's normal, and they should have some limitations to each instrument, expect for the top one. Stop dreaming on!

(perhaps they didn't have a "..final PA800 user..(or any!!)" before they launched it Brick wall Brick wall Question )
Why didn't they put a faster CPU in (maybe 2)?
Why didn't they put a bucket load of RAM in?
Why didn't they give us another 1000 styles in addition to the 1000 already there?
Why didn't they give us a choice of colors?
Why don't they give us everything that has been requested?

I am beginning to realise why they don't post comments in these topics!!!!!

Get real - Korg is like EVERY other computer hardware and software vendor in the world... and in many cases, better...

Confused Confused Confused

Its sad how human brain works, and especially here on Earth, we always fail
to be reasonable and understand some main things. For example take this
topic and read carefully and you'll see how immature and inferior to everything.
Korg has a PA2X, PA500, PA588 and a PA800, 4 different machines, 4 different
price ranges, a machine for everyone, for the poor and the rich and for the
pro and the amateur...AND WE ARE STILL NOT SATISFIED...something still
scratches our asses...are we ever gonna stop? If you want 256 MB buy the
PA2X, if you cant, then buy the PA800 and shut up. Listen to this, just watch
as everyone expresses himself...a brand new PA2X can be now found even
for 2800$...upgrading the PA will probably cost more then that having in mind
that you paid for your synth probably 2300-2500 new and then add an additional
500$ or more to this...we always fail to be rational, reasonable, smart and dont know what else.
SAD!

And nothing is wrong with that at all! I sell sounds and styles and i always
try to convince people to buy the bigger sets, you'd do the same and all
of us will do the same...if Korg doesnt sell any of those PA2X trust me there
wont be no more PA800 or anything else for us, they have to make money
so we can have machines...they need money for things like research, production
and cigarettes for the engineers...
