Hello there,
I'm a composer and just looking to buy this kaossilator. But then I saw mini KP which was few bucks less in price which can fit my budget. But according to the video reviews I learnt that the mini KP does have only effects. But do anyone own it can tell me if it does have tones like it has in Kaossilator? I was impressed with Kaossilator for the tones it has and the portamento ability which is very useful for indian scales and compositions. If the mini Kaoss pad has all those 100 tones plus those effects, then I will buy mini KP.

Please share and help me decide.

Thanks

The miniKP has about 5 synth patches and you can't quantize/lock them to a certain key or scale, it is entirely free playing. Really if you want a synthesizer you buy a Kaossillator. If you want effects (does tack nicely on the end of a triton or other synth) then you buy a mini-KP.

By the way, the KAOSS section is here:

The Triton section really isn't the place to post about Kaoss products Wink
