I am not a programmer of Synth but I like the sounds of the wavestaions rack and normally like to play presets without difficult editing.
At ebay there are two for sale: the A/D and the SR.
I just bought th SR, because of its great amount of preprogrammed presets. I hope I don´t need to edit them ...

I rarely edit SR sounds. First of the all the screen is useless in that capacity. Secondly, if a sound ain't broke, don't fix it.  They're great right out of the box. BTW, ick up one of the Wavestation CDs on Ebay. Tons of sounds.

The SR from ebay comes with a CD with 10.000 patches.
I hope the battery will not be empty soon. Do you know, where to get a new one and which kind?

Buy a CR-2032 or DL-2032 lithium battery. You can get them at most retailers that sells watch batteries and so forth. I've also seen them on Ebay for 3 bucks shipped.

All ya need is a screwdriver to remove the upper case from the rest of the unit. You'll see the battery.
