The secret to dubstep bass on the DS-10 is to use beat sync'ed sine wave on the filter center frequency, with high resonance, and then assign the Kaoss Y parameter to change the speed of the sinewave.

By sine I think you meant triangle wave.
I noticed that when you leave bpm sync off you'll get more variation from a repeating set of patterns programmed into song mode. As for those who like to improvise live, bpm sync is the way to go as your wobbles will always be in the beat of the song. _________________ paypal.me/CharlesFerraro |

Yes, triangle - which on an LFO, basically sounds the same on the DS-10. I never could tell with the low res on the screen whether they were trying to do sine or tri, but since the MS-10 was a tri, that makes sense. On the main oscillators you can convert the triangle to a sine using the filter to get rid of the harmonics, but that's kind of wasteful when you've only got one filter to work with. |
