|
|
I have my Oasys linked up to Cubase SX 3, and for some reason more often than not, MIDI seems ot be processed half a second slower than usual.
I am not recording, I am simply just auditioning patches.
I add a MIDI track, then set the input to be USB MIDI, and the output to be USB MIDI, turn local control off on the Oasys, and then would expect the MIDI track to signal the Oasys sound engine automatically.
Thing is, this usually works, but mostly, the MIDI appear be have about 0.5 seconds latency for some reason.
I have searched through the application to see if there is anywhere where MIDI can be set up similar to the Soundcard Test when you firstly setup Cubase, but cannot actually find anything.
Hope somebody can give me some idea as to what I may be doing wrong here.
I am sure it is not a problem with the O, but just in case, I thought I would ask.
Thanks. _________________ Music is the stuff Dreams are made of!!!

I am using the Oasys with Logic/Mac but .... IIRC what you describe is a problem with selecting the correct MIDI driver type in Cubase. If you select the MIDI device that is driven using a DirectX driver rather than the MME one, you will experience this latency problem. Check with the Steinberg support resources.

Daz,
Thanks for the reply. I shall do a little investigation into that tonight.
Cheers. _________________ Music is the stuff Dreams are made of!!!
