A sad day for Pink Floyd fans: Richard Wright, keyboard player and a co-founder of the group, passed away today at 65.

R.I.P. Great keyboardist who proved less is more. Incredible talent, great loss.

R.I.P Richard.
A sad, sad day this is, when one of my biggest influences in music (Pink Floyd) looses one of their key-members.
Not only a great musician, but I think a lot of fans got to know him as a great and humble person too.

It will be a long way down memory lane now, musically spoken.... Crying or Very sad

He wasnt a showman like Wakeman or Emerson- he just done the job- He had a lovely touch on organ, piano and synthesizer. His minimoog stuff on Wish you Here inspired me.

Dont think I would be playing keyboards today if it wasn't for him.

Wish you were still here Rick

The last band I played in was a sort of neo-classic, psychedelic rock band, and I cannot count the number of times I have drawn inspiration from Richard Wright's playing. Choosing the right sounds for the song instead of showboating, making sure my presence served the song and not my ego, all traits of Richard Wright that have fallen into my musical personality. I will truly miss that man!
