Just wondering what any of you would recommend as an alternative to the sound of the KLC(s). I would love to purchase them, but I don't agree with the copy protection method. |

Hi!
Well, the KLC is a collection of multiple types of synthesis and sounds.
You have from analag emulation to fm synthesis, passing through vetcorial and wavetable.
I guess if you're looking to such complete and comprehensive package like KLC, you will have to buy much more separated products, at a higher price.

Thanks for the reply, but I know what I will be getting now... Omnisphere from Spectrasonics! It will be covering everything from the KLC(s) and more... and no dongle! |

Well, Omnisphere it's a great instruments, but I think it won't be able to replace in every detail the KLC or other synths.
Consider it's always a sample-based instruments...a great instruments, but sample-based _________________ Diego http://www.myspace.com/diegoinmusic

Well, for the money it costs...I agree I would buy Omnisphere instead of KLC...
But they're really two different kind of instruments _________________ Diego http://www.myspace.com/diegoinmusic

Well, I got KLC-1 with my Extreme, so no dongle. I hate dongles!!
Anyway, there isn't anything completely like the Wavestation out there, but...there are a couple amazing synths (with some waveform basis) out there.
Check out u-he software's Zebra and Zebralette synths. u-he also has some great effects available. |

Your right about that - there is nothing that comes close to the wavestation
and the M1 has so many interesting sounds - The M1 is a lot more than a compressed accoustic piano and some drums- I have been using it over a year now and I always discover something new.
Well, the Proteus VX Software has some good peformances and I like the Kits- however, its not the best to progam based on my experience.
Each time I start up whether stand alone or as a vst I have to reload my banks and my sounds by myself whhich takes a long time. |
