I am using an X5D at the moment and play alot of metal. For my lead sound i usually use a very slightly edited version of preset a98 synth lead, but am not really happy with it.Just wondered if anybody had any ideas at all of how i could edit it or create a totally different lead.Any ideas at all would be great, im up for trying anything.Thanks. |

It all depends of the kind of lead you're searching for.
Do you want to play with a very agressive lead like Janne Wirman (children of bodom) or derek sherinian (planet X) or something more smooth like the lead used by jens johanson (stratovarius)? Tell us!^^
(PS: I play metal too... ^^) |

I think you're best bet would be Jordan Rudess's liquid t lead. I wouldn't know how to help on x5d, but this website called progsounds could help. |

Use pwm tone, put the program in solo mode and a distortion pedal. _________________ Gear: roland Juno-G, korg x5dr, Monologue, e-mu 0404
