Hi Guys.

Software Piracy in such a small community as style conversion is a deadly cancer and a major risk to the future of such applications. Please don't participate in such activities as you will be found out and banned for life. It's really not worth it.

Software Piracy also places us “KORG Forums” at serious risk. Shame on you (and you know who you are, as well as I do) for using our forum in this way. This really hurts as we give so much to everyone here with our community for free. Then to have to deal with piracy issues is like a slap in the face.

This will eat up a lot of my hours now sorting out this mess when I should be with my family. I'm really disappointed.

Sharp.

Hi Sharp,
are you actually referring to the sharing of the software ( ie EMC ) or the end product, the sharing of a converted style??

Hi.

I'm referring to the upload of 3 cracked editions of EMC Style Works, and the fact that the PM system here at KORG Forums was used to organise this.

Regards.
Sharp.

Never blame the actions of individualls on a whole group....
Just find the guily ones and punnish them for their behaviour
Even use them as an excample, to show others
But don't blame the innocent.

(Some nasty wars started about that in the past)

Hi Sharp,
thank you.
I wasn't aware that, that had occurred.

Can be a nightmare for moderators when members do stupid things like sharing stuff that they shouldn't.

My concern was that maybe I shouldn't be talking about or sharing converted styles. Prefer not to break any rules.

best wishes
Rikki

I think that you should re-read Sharp's message. There was certainly no blame placed on the "the whole group" and it was a very justified warning.
Most of us are fair and honest when comes to this type of issue but unfortunately there are a few that feel justified in stealing software just because they think it is "too expensive".
There is no justification for stealing other people's property or goods.

admin,
I think you should speak up! Tell us all the precise issue, otherwise many would feel offended somehow.
Or simply warn the respective members, or even ban them.

Offended at what exactly Confused Confused ??

Please also re-read Sharp's message carefully - there is nothing offensive to anyone but a clear warning to those who steal software.
Also Sharp has already responded:-

And yes, this is a warning to the people who did it, not to all of us,
it cant be more specific.
