I think Hugo Chavez would make a great V. P.. He can restore a just and compassionate new order. Just ask the Venezuelan people.

I am eager to hear more perspectives.
Eager to hear from the right who they would most like/fear to run against alongside Barack.

Thank you everyone for your participation and voting.
Peace.

Indeed.

I would like to remind everyone that this is not a United States based forum, but an international one. Do you really care to hear the details of foreign political campaigns? Do we really need long discussions about the infightings between French cabinet ministers, or what goes on in the House of Commons? Are we actually "jonesing" for information about who represents Austria in Brussels?

No?

Then why would we want to pester the rest of the world with our opinions about who makes the best US candidate? This is an international music board, not a US political board.

Comments were solicited in the Off Topic section. I only felt it prudent to offer that not all voices are behind the current wave of delegates for Obama. That was my only intent. I enjoy the international flavor of this forum. In general I am more impressed with the collection of passionate opinions here.........whether I agree with them or not. Musicians are an interesting bunch for those same reasons. I don't find other blogs and/or forums to be nearly as engaging and even toned.

I find it enteresting to read what is being written about our upcoming elections in other media outlets...........and at times I am floored at the spin. Shocked

Off Topic does not mean anything goes. We have been down this road before.

If I started a thread about "Why Jeus Christ should be your personal savior". It would be divisive for the forum and would not be prudent for the web community. It is simply a selfish fire starter that is unrelated to music. We all know that it would start a firestorm.

All one has to do is read Alpha80's taunt.

I try restrain my remarks toward politics and religion for respect of this forum. There are plenty of places on the web where one can get a steady diet of the political sewage. There are many places to get the perspective you seek, where they are welcome and wanted. This is a music forum and in the Off Topic section respecting others is still a community norm.

If someone wants to continue this discussion......then send these guys personal messages and have at it (in private).

Please do the right (and considerate) thing!

YES!
Please.
I would welcome the education.
+ It's off topic...
Apologies if I offended anyone, but I have a very honest and raw rapport, even thru the keyboard.
Peace.
