I recently took my 01wfd to the shop for repairs. I was experiencing problems with extreme distortion for all settings. The diagnosis was a bad board, and replacement required shipment to another facility with the proper equipment to make the repair. I have now been told that the parts are no longer available, the synth is obsolete, and that if I want the unit back I will need to pay an additional $35 shipping on top of the $100 diagnostics. Needless to say, I am a bit bummed. Anyone else have a similar experience, and though aged are 01w's officially obsolete? Thanks for any insight and info.

Did they give the part number(s) that are no longer available? If so, send me a PM with the list.

I don't understand why they'd have to ship the unit to get a board replaced. I've gutted and repaired my share of 01s over the years and never required "proper" equipment. Hell, all ya need is a friggin screwdriver, pliers and possibly a soldering gun.

BTW, the 01/W is HARDLY obsolete. Rolling Eyes
