Yes Synthia, glad you did Very Happy (i nearly went to DV for my "O" but got a good part exchange deal at Bonners were i got my OASYS (and also my Triton studio).

What makes this more unusual (to me anyway) is the SIZE of this place; Turnkey. I remember them back from the 80's and 90's when they used to advertise in "keyboard mag" and there large brochure, that i still get now (or did). Korg M1, Yamaha SY77/99, Roland D-50, - oh them good ol' days Crying or Very sad

Sad news ... I bought my first ever Korg (a guitar tuner LOL) from them way back, and many other things since then. Now I am here in the US, I am a Sweetwater customer ... LOL, maybe that's why Turnkey went out of business.

Hey Synthia ... did you ever go to Andertons in Guildford ? That's closer to you than London, right ? Great store !

Daz.

thought it was a bit strange when I purchased a PA80 8mb Flash Card from them on ebay last week and only paid £1.24..

shame..
unfortunately its the likes of internet shops like bigdiscountwarehouse.co.uk and thomann.de driving the driving the prices down I suppose..

again shame...
regards,
Vlad

Hi Daz,

No,I never been to Andertons but I used to get their brochures.I used to go to Sound Control and Digital Village.I normally buy my synths in my local Digital Village where I get good discounts for being a loyal customer.

Hi Anthony,

Yeah,Turnkey was huge.I was there 4 years ago and there were so many synths there,I couldn't believe my eyes. It's such a shame that these stores are gone.I used to love going to Sound Control here in Southampton just to look at all the keys as the shop was massive. Also,I met some really nice people there, who are now unemployed.Digital Village only has a Motif and a M3 on display and that's it.In Sound Control you found everything from the Virus to V-Synth GT.
