Hi, I was in contact with this guy (he is italian), and I think he did a great job with his library, but remember that you won't have looped samples (at least there wasn't a single looped samples in his earlier works...) so you'll have to load a BIIIIIIIG ammount of data into your computer and this can create problems...

Yes , 9.5gig Sample content. It states that his library plays through Kontakt 2 and 3! [I have Kontakt 3 / 32gig sample content / Amazing Instrument]. I'm already using as plugin through Sonar 7 Producer and works great!
I guess I was hoping to find someone who is using it productively, and if the instruments are as playable as his video's seem to show.

it sounds amazing to me, too!!
I can't beleive it's not so famous, I think it's really great sounding, much more than a lot of other libraries out there! _________________ Diego http://www.myspace.com/diegoinmusic

What would be the best keyboard to load this onto? Is there any way you can increase the storage size for the triton extreme/ |

Hi!
Well, I think Roland or Yamaha have the largest sample memory available on the market, but no keyb can load 9GB of sounds.
No way you can increase so much your TE memory, you can only add up to 96Mb RAM to load more samples.

I believe there is an issue with the loading times though. They are supposed to be insanely slow.
Besides the OASYS has the biggest memory there is, and that puppy can load 1.5GB in seconds. It's a different league though.
For huge libraries like this though you would need to be looking towards the Neko or Miko. They could load even bigger libraries with ease as they are pretty much PC based.
Regards.

Oh yes, I forgot the big O
BTW, I didn't considered the Neko or Miko because I consider them so much out of the market.
Maybe a Receptor is better for these kind of tasks, if you don't want to carry with you a laptop.

It Loads into Kontakt which for studio use can be worked as a plug-in to daw host, and I guess for "live" it [Kontakt] can operate in a "stand-alone" mode from pc or laptop _________________ marcus

Would it be possible to have the program on a laptop and play it off the triton extreme that way? |

Ultimately Yes, but you would have to consider if it can be operated in a "Stand-Alone" mode which simply means you play it through your pc or laptop like you suggested. If it doesn't operate in "Stand-Alone", you then would have to open it up in your DAW or Kontakt 2 or 3. So if you don't have a DAW or Kontakt you are looking at an "extra" expense. But I am thinking since it specifically mentions Kontakt as mode of play then it could also mean that it is available only for that sample software, making them a 3rd party sample provider, requiring Kontakt's sampling structure to play correctly.

The Alesis Fusion HD keyboard has a built in Hard Drive, the earlier ones had a 40 GB hard drive and the newer ones (they say) have an 80 GB hard drive... so, if you are looking to load lots of sounds, that would be the keyboard to go with.
I own a Korg Triton LE and an Alesis Fusion HD and I can't do without either one of them. |
