Quite surprised not to see a freshened Electribes and controller keyboards ... or any Legacy updates. Very quiet NAMM for Korg. Never mind, it's the not the only time they release products and updates, as they showed throughout 2007. They did a lot of stuff in recent times and just announced them on their own schedule.

That's what i like about Korg. They seem to say F...k NAMM, we'll release a product when we're ready Very Happy When a company releases during NAMM the audience are more critical, more alert, more desperate in terms of comparing with other products. This is when the trashing starts, people are desperate for answers... there is a real psychology here at work... guess a thesis could be written on it lol.

When Korg released Oasys 1.3 update during 2007, there didnt seem to be much discussion about it, there were no arguements, it was just calmly released and almost went unnoticed. I think Korg have a psychologist working for them lol.

Anyway, Oasys 1.4 will be released in 2008, ( im sure ? ). They will calmly anounce it... No big fanfares and that's it.

Has Korg joined the Akai brigade? Take anything old you've got, add a fancy paint job and release it as new?

Can't say I'm overly keen on the camo job (is the writing legible on it?), but the reversed µKorg looks cool.

The reverse key micro korg is nothing new, been online since last year.

There should be girly coloured pink/lilac/purple keyboards... maybe even a little glitter here and there... think daisy rock or hello kitty guitars... funny keyboard makers havent jumped on this bandwagon yet.

Yeah, Harpsi, too.

But trust me, near to my home there is a friend of mine who is an organ producer, focused on medieval portative organs and baroque positive organs...we have paintings and various examples showing reversed keyb colors on organs, too Wink

Oh, they're not so common!

I'm in touch with that guy because I help him with PC troubles, and when he needs me to go to his factory (which is really 500mt from my home!), while I'm working on his PC, I always ask him to talk about his new works. A lot of european musicians contact him, asking to build a new organ for them: if you order an organ today, you will receive your instrument in 2012!! he's really full of work.

If I see him in the near future I'll ask to give me one of the paints he uses to take inspiration to build philologic instruments.

regards
