I scoffed at the last deal, so I'm going to keep my mouth shut this time. My only hope is that it's a Stylus RMX update, because that's all that I own... but I also can't imagine what else they would add. |

I had a weird dream a few months ago that I was playing with the most incredible sampler ever made – and it had the flashing Spectrasonics prism logo on it (sad, I know).
Here's what I think the big announcement is: the sample player to beat all sample players. You can load Atmosphere 1/2, Trilogy 1/2, and/or Stylus RMX 1/2 into it, plus a bunch of new (and possibly older) Specs sample collections. Much like the way the present-day Expanders work with Stylus RMX.
I have to stop now. I'm drooling on my keyboard.
Kind regards. _________________ Dave Bourke

At KVR this post cracked me up - it should win some sort of award:
"You'll need a lifetime to explore the possibilities." This statement can only mean one thing: they've finally developed a plugin that speculates on future Spectrasonics releases. The user tells the plugin the instrument that they're most interested in, and then the plugin asks a few simple questions to determine the users depth of imagination. Using a new algorithm developed in-house by the Spectrasonics team, the plugin then generates a theory about what the next Spectrasonics release will be."

One thing is certain, whatever the "new" thing is, it shouldn't be any less amazing than any titled product he has put his name on in the past. How does he continue to produce consistantly the level of high quality instrumentation that seems to be his trademark!? Eric was obviously born to do what he does. [personally, I wouldn't mind another level of atmosphere ] Although orchestration seems to be the next obvious step for his product line.
