I'll ellaborate on what i've done so far, lol but with no results .....
Equip:-
Cubase SX
Delta1010LT soundard
Axiom49 keyboard
Yamaha 24/14fx mixer
Kaoss
In Cubase, I have an audio track, outputs routed to the Kaoss, Kaoss output is routed to the yamaha and then onto amp. The Kaoss X-Y pad works fine controlling the audio track.
What I want to do is control the Kaoss X-Y pad realtime using my Axiom, via cubase. I've set it up as follows ...
Audio/Kaoss inputs/outputs as previously described.
I have created a midi track in cubase, set the midi input to the axiom (this works fine, the track midi indicator is showing midi in activity). The only Kaoss related output is the KP3 1 sound, so i've set that as the output for the midi track.
I have set a couple of the assignable faders on the axiom to CC 12 and 13 (the Kaoss X-Y CC's).
That aint working .... what am I doing wrong ? |

Just a guess, because I haven't done this before... CC12 and CC13 cover where a finger would be on the pad. but I don't think that they let the KP3 know that a finger should be on the pad.
Try assigning a button on your Axion ti CC92 which should be PAD Touch and hit that button before moving your assignable faders. I'm guessing CC92 might be like a midi note on and note off for pad control. |

Glad to hear it. Do the LED's on the KP3 follow your fader moves on the Axiom? |

I need to ask; why would you want to do this, when you can just whack a finger onto the X/Y pad...? |

So two of us can share the Kaoss during a live performance .....
At times I will be playing a pc based soft synth, using the Axiom as the controller and keyboard, I want to be able to control the Kaoss from the keyboard as the Kaoss will be some distance away from me next to the vocalist/DJ .....

Does anybody knows a suitable footcontroler for the KP3, to manage the pad functions by feet? Would be very useful for me as a guitarplayer. Thanks
