Have a keyboard, with midi output and input, work with Reason and Live, as well as the Pad Kontrol?
I love my PadKontrol, but i want a full keyboard. They have pretty cheap ones that have midi out and in, and i want to use it with Reason and Live, while still using my Padkontrol with them (for RedRum and controlling Live [stop, play, etc])
is that possible to do? |

Get yourself a Midi keyboard that can connect Via USB directly to your PC,the Korg K series are pretty good and good price too that way you can plug both that and the PK directly into your PC via USB (Providing you have 2 free USB ports) and have as much control over your Software as you like. You can use them both as control surfaces
Just wondered why you need to have a Midi In on the Keyboard if your working solely within the Software Environment!and if you have no other external Hardware to input data into the Computer why would you need any Midi in if your only wanted to control Reason/Live from a Keyboard and PK
Most midi controllors have Midi in and out as standard, and sometimes thru, although most use the USB port as a thru, but its not really a priority to have a Midi in on the Keyboard itself if your doing all the Playing directly from your Midi keyboard into the Software.al lthats import will be the Out data thats sent to the PC
Korg K series come in 25,49 or 61 Note versions and also the 61P includes an Onboard Piano soundset, they power from USB too so no need for external PSU neither just like the PK

okay thanks for the response!!
i just mentioned the midi in/out because i don't really get what that would do.
If i got one of those keyboards, and put the PK as "midi IN" to it, what would it do?? (or what could it do) |
