Hi,
akai mpd 24, gots 2 diferent modes available for each PAD, Momentary, where you press a key and it sends a Midi Note On, then release it and it sends a Midi Note Off, in the same way a keyboard would behave; and Toggle mode, where you hit a pad once and it sends a Note On, but you can release it and nothing happens, then hit it again to send the Note Off. Each pad can only have one mode, but each pad can be set individually.
If you were using a pad to trigger loops, you'd give it the Toggle function, hit the pad and the loop would keep playing until you hit the pad again.
I know from the promo videos, PadKontrol from korg has a "Hold" button, that we may use with the x-y, but can the PadKontrol do the same as the Akai MPD 24 ? That function would be really usefull for me, to play with my sampler (hardware, non-software, no pc)
If you know something about this please let me know! Tks |

Yes, the pK pads have the same feature. Each pad can either be momentary or toggle. _________________
