Would have to be an 01/W.....great for this application with it's waveshaping. If you want strange, you can definitely find it there.

Hey MS would be nice and so would winning the Lottery. Old korg Synth Sell for big bucks on ebay. I tried to bid on and 01/w that was painted mint green, but still working..well they went past my bid...I might be having Memory lose or I might be on the right path. I was looking at the Microkorg. Maybe that's a bad thing...compared to a good old korg..But the Vocoder is a good thing, But proably not high on strange sounds.

1000 is actualy pretty damn cheap for analog with modular capabilities.
Its a good entry level to modular synthesis and does make some absolutely outlandish sounds.
I use my ms20 quite heavily for making freaky leads, good basslines, and most of all for processing beats and audio (aphex twin uses ms-20 extensively for this)

you DID ask for strange analog sounds, you did not say you were on a budget.
