Is there a way to send a midi command to my X5DR to go to the Multi section? On more than one occasion I have been running late or otherwise preoccupied and forgot to set it and started my night and was embarrased when the wrong sounds started playing. The unit starts in the Combi mode by default. If not a midi command, is there a way to set the unit itself to start in Multi as the default?
Thanks,

Probably the only way it can be done is if you have the means to transmit a Sysex message to it.
You would need to look in the back of the manual for this one.
Regards.

I did insert a sysex command to set to gm. I checked it to auto send and then when I would press play the x5dr still wouldn't reset. As usual I am an idiot. The syex message only sends when you open the file. Now I just inserted the same sysex command in all my files and the unit sets itself to Multi no problem when each file is opened..
Thansk,
