I don't understand the statement that KORG make when it say that if you need a lighter & so machine check the PA800
Quote: | Pa800
If you need a compact and light 61 key version of the Pa2X Pro with built in amplifier and speakers, check out the amazing Pa800. Same incredible sound quality with almost all the most important features as the Pa2X Pro.

If one of you can please explain it would be great. And what is the price difference?

Seems to me the Pa2xPro is a Pa800 with some notable differences.
-76 weighted keys
-no speakers
-builtin hard drive + mp3
-phantom power for your microphone
- more memory
- digital out
- 11 real physical sliders
- adjustable screen
- heavier/bigger (but smaller than pa1xpro)
- it will cost a lot more!
No doubt there are more differences but I think this covers most.
Regards,

Hi Reuben,
on my mind there´s no more memory on PA2X than PA800.
One additional difference is the housing - it´s silver and Aluminium - not plastic like PA800 is - and for me it looks much more professional.
so far from my side

Hi
Looking at Jurgens chart there is more memory in the PA2xpro. The PA800 is fixed at 64mb whereas the PA2xpro has 128mb standard but expandable up to 256mb
A question for Jurgen. Having seen you play the PA2xpro, can you tell me if the keyboard itself is the same as the PA1xpro or is it a new design? I'd heard that the PA1xpro keyboard was made by Fatar but now Korg is starting to build their own. Also do you know when the keyboard will actually be released? I'm sure the UK will be a bit behind continental Europe but it will be nice to know if you have any idea.
Cheers

Hello Simon,
the PA2Xpro has a new design.
the Aluminium surface is nearly the same, but its more narrow (about 10cm), and it has stylish wooden egdes instead of plastic edges.
As I know, it's still the same Fatar keyboard in it, the weight of the keys is a little bit different from PA1Xpro, but it's wonderful to play!
I'm not a pianist, and as an (old) organplayer I feel very good on the PA2Xpro keys!

If the keyboard is the same, the weight of the key is the same. Not?
Best

What I'm wondering is if the Pa2X is getting a drawbar-organ with 9 sliders. When I look at the pa800, there are still 8 drawbars. The Pa2X however is suited with 9 sliders which can be used for the drawbars.
Sartorius, you've been playing with the drawbars, can you give more details about that? _________________ With musical regards,
