I really thought this would generate more responses. Are people not using softsynths as much as I thought?

For me it would be Pianoteq, and Brass.

Although I don't use them much as I'm not into softsynths. I'm selling a lot of my gear actually since I now no longer have a need for many items due to owning an OASYS.

Regards.
Sharp.

NI Absynth and Korg MS20.

Absynth sounds great and is a real sound design paradise. It's the synth I would have made for myself ...

Pianoteq (I think it was ricki recordo who first brought that one up on this forum) and although its hard to classify as its so different- Jamstix. Also Loungelizard, anything by Arturia and yes NI Absynth.

Any free Softsynth is my favorite.

Nah just kidding, but over at KVR audio.com I have found so many awsome sounding free softsynths that you would swear should be sold for big bucks.

I specially loved the Plugsound and others.......Oh, there is also an awsome Saxophone softsynth that is so realistic.

Kenwood coffee bean grinder....

Doh?! Wink

I am a sucker for weired plugins such as Ian Boddy's Morphology or Aseth Golden Synth etc., apart from that the usual Absynth, Konakt, FM8 Massive, Atmosphere (hope they get something new down that line one of these days), Stylus RMX, Moog Modular, Mini Moog, Albino, Predator, Blue etc. and of course the FX Section another long list.

Favourites would be Kontakt, Stylus RMX and Atmosphere.

If You're willing to wait, Spectrasonics [Atmosphere, Stylus RMX], is comming out with their new "Omnisphere".
It's Atmoshere on Steroids!
It's due out in September. Their website is unveiling its features on a month to month campaign. Check them out at

http://www.spectrasonics.net/

I currently use Atmoshere; Stylus RMX [with all the SAGE Expanders], Trilogy; Kontakt 3; and Cakewalk's Dimension Pro.
