Hi all.
I posted an announcement in the Pa1X section that was tailored especially for pa1X users, so I’ll post a general Triton users announcement here.
I’ve just released Piano Evolution for the entire Triton Series, ( TR included ) which is a 32MB dual layer, stereo sampled Concert Grand. It’s a pay for download this time, and will set you back only €20 euro if your interested.
For demo’s and side by side examples of Piano Evolution against other libraries, please head on over to the birth place of KORGForums, and click on the KORG Software button. http://www.irishacts.com
Kind Regards.
James Tubbritt.

Sharp, do you have a MIDI file for a "Purgatory Creek's" demo piano melody ?
Very nice music.
What is it ?
Maybe I can download music notes somewhere ? _________________ https://github.com/divlv |

By the way, Sharp, do you think you could tell us how many programs and Combi's are in Piano Evolution and in Piano Assault. _________________ berndog

Hi Berndog
Very sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Quote: | how many programs and Combi's are in Piano Evolution and in Piano Assault |
All 32MB is dedicated to one sampled piano in stereo at two different velocities. So you won’t find a large number of sounds here because any attempt to do so would only end in a large number of variations of the same theme.
I’d rather spend more time making 10 really great programs that get the most from the sample data than 128 that would obviously only be variations on the same theme since you can only change the data around so much.
So to answer your question, there are 18 program sounds in this collection for Triton Users, and 28 for Pa1X users. Pa1X users get more sounds simply because the RX engine has 5 OSC’s to work with.
Regarding the free bonus data “Piano Assault”. This offer is really only valid to Pa1X users. While everyone will still get access to download this bonus data with their purchase, it’s only Pa1X compatible. Which is why it’s to be considered a free bonus and not part of the Piano Evolution price.
Kind Regards.

Hi Worth.
It’s probably best if I break this down into two parts.
Here's the story for Triton users.
1: The actual sample data.
It’s 32MB of PCM data which consists of one dual layer stereo sampled Concert Grand piano.
2: The sounds ( PROG Sound).
Here you have 17 Piano sounds and 1 strings sound. All of piano’s use are generated from the 32MB of PCM data above, and using the HI engine of the Triton, the samples are shaped to emulate other types of piano styles’.
For example, 3 types of Concert Grand, Jazz Piano, upright, modern pop, optimised mono pianos, and a few other types.
The single strings sound is not an external PCM based sound. It draws from the factory ROM and is shaped as a Mixer type sound that when added as a second layer to any of the pianos will sound wonderful.
Hope that explains things.
Kind Regards.
Sharp.
PS: More demo’s coming very soon. _________________

Hello.
Sorry but as far as I'm aware, the Pa500 does not have the ability to load sample data.
Regards.
