I realize this is a double post, but I figure no-one will ever look in the proper section, it being so far down the list. If that's not true, then please accept my apology in advance for the double post.

My K25 controller keyboard does not seem to be working with the editor. I hit "Transmit" to transmit my change to the K25 and I get an error message which says "K Series Is Not Connected". K25 is properly transmitting to my computer. I am using virtual synths in Sonar and they are playing from the K25. But I can't change any of the K25's parameters. Why would the DAW and its softsynths be recognizing the K25, but not its own editor?

Hi, sorry you're having trouble...

Are you using a DAW and the editor at the same time? You might be running into a problem there. If the DAW has already grabbed the MIDI device associated with the K-25, the editor can't get to it.

If you're not running a DAW simultaneously, be sure to check your MIDI devices in the editor. You do have to specify the K-25 for it to be recognized, it won't do it automatically.

Also... is the K-25 plugged into a hub? It really needs its own USB port to work properly. That little red light will go on, but MIDI transfer won't work. Since you say it's working with your software, this probably isn't the case, but I thought I'd throw it in anyway.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Somehow I got it to work. Not sure what I did. Anyway if it doesn't work, I'll try what you said - opening it independent of the DAW. Seems like I did that and it didn't work, but I'll try again. Once it's configured, however, it should work when the DAW is open, otherwise it would be quite cumbersome to have to exit the DAW everytime I want to make a change on the K25.

All of that aside, nice little unit this is - especially for the price.
