Hello everyone,

I hope you're all enjoying your summer and making the most of your KORG Pa5X. I have a quick question regarding the differences between the standard and Oriental versions of the Pa5X, and I believe it's a point worth discussing.

I've had my Pa5X for over two years now, and I've heard that the Oriental version boasts superior LED quality, a better screen, and an improved keybed. If this is true, what does that mean for the standard version?

Issues with the Standard Version
I've experienced the well-known issue of black spots appearing on the leds. Although KORG is addressing this by offering free replacements, the process can be lengthy. I left my keyboard for repairs 6-7 weeks ago, and there has been no update yet. Fortunately, I have a backup unit in the meantime.

Questions for Recent Buyers
For those who have purchased the Pa5X in the last two/three months, has KORG made any improvements to address the led issues? Are the LEDs, screen, and keybed of better quality in these newer units? It would be helpful to get confirmation from anyone who has the latest model.

Seeking Confirmation and Information
If anyone on this forum has recently bought the newest Pa5X, can you confirm if there have been any upgrades or changes to the components? Have the LEDs been replaced or improved in the newer keyboards?

How about asking for a serial number so you know when the change has happened.

What serial number did the new improve PA 5 x come out or start... that's what I'd like to know.

This way you know if you have an old junky one or the new improved one.

Korg is replacing the LED's under warranty my tech is just waiting for parts, now how long that will be that is unknown, so, if you have an older model contact a service center.

Problem remains is how to identify an "Older Model".

What I meant is all PA5X are eligible as long as the LED's are defective you do not have to identify when it came out of the factory.
