I3 vs vs x50

Looking for an updated x50 keyboard and wondering if the i3 is it?

Tom Schuman of Spyro Gyra plays an x50 and has cool rhythms that modulate the bass line while also playing a baritone sax melody with the same notes. He also has external midi sound modules so I'm wondering if one of those are helping out or is the x50 able to do all of that?

Can anyone tell me can the x50 actually do all of that at once?

Also can i3 do different time signatures for the rhythms like 7/8?
