Is it just the Disk button that doesn't appear to work, or are other buttons non-functional?

Have you tried pressing the Disk button a little harder than in the video? Not hard enough to damage it, of course.

Yes, it feels as if the minus and plus buttons under the rotary control do not click, but they only work by pressure and not like the others

Just pressed a little harder on "Disk" and a disk menu appears on the display.

I did not find the format but I went to copy and the disk drive is working so it is OK.

Did you format the diskettes on your PC?
Did you then run the "213_dsk1.exe" program on your PC which creates diskette #1?
Did you then run the "213_dsk2.exe" program on your PC which creates diskette #2?

Note:-
Diskette #1 contains update files A & B
Diskette #2 contains update file C

If so, then the next steps are:-
1. turn off the i30
2. insert diskette #1 (just created)
3. press and hold Back.Seq. and Play/Mute Main Keyboard buttons and turn on i30
4. The i30 should immediately start the update loading file A (DO NOT INTERRUPT IT OR PRESS ANY BUTTONS OR KEYS)
5. When the i30 has finished with diskette #1 file A it will display "Please insert system B Disk" - IGNORE THIS & DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING because file B is also on diskette #1 - the update continues with file B automatically.
6. When the display prompts: "Please change to system C Disk", remove Diskette #1 and insert Diskette #2
7. Eventually it will display "Check the System"
8. i30 will sit "waiting" in ARRANGEMENT C11 and this is when you can turn off the i30
9. Remove diskette
10. Power on and check the keyboard

Hope this helps.

Very Happy

Hello ,

Here are some pictures .

It all worked out last night I thank you all for the help without you here I would never have made it .

And no at sale he knew it because there were still disks in the drive (OS 2.1.x) only he did not get it done.
So he knew that some things don't work as they should.

Well anyway bought is bought and maybe I can replace the buttons / switches if they are still available for purchase.

THANK YOU all

Good to hear it worked out in the end.

Search for "korg i30 switches" on eBay.

May be worth trying these people:

https://syntaur.com/keyboard.php?keyboard=Korg_i30

Might be worth asking them if they do packs of 10, or more, as the joystick tact switches are about half the price each, when bought in packs of 10. There will be import duty to pay on top, probably.

Or here:
