This has come up on the forum before and still I do not know the solution. Today I am one step forward I think but need some help from you guys please. When I select certain songs from Korg Disc a message comes up saying “Resources not Found”. I have known this for some time.

Today I connected Pa4X to computer, opened Songbook Editor, chose Korg Disc and Songbook appeared. All of the songs saying “Resources not Found” showed they were in Direct and named the direct folder. So I put the USB mentioned into the 4X and bingo, it merged with internal disc and all songs played. No more “resources not Found” messages.

I hope that I have explained ok. “Resources not Found” is solved by inserting USB to merge with Disc and all is well. But how do I get those “resources” from USB to Disc please so no need to insert USB. Songbook Editor shows that it is only a dozen or so in Direct out of a hundred and more but they just happen to be my favourites.

I suspect that it may not be that simple but it has been bugging me for a year or two.

Thanks, take care.

Hi taichi

So, as you've probably figured out, you need to "load" all those resources (styles) into the internal style banks

You can do this by using MEDIA mode "load" and simply load from the "DIRECT" set being careful not to overwrite your needed internal bank styles.
You can load styles individually and have full control over where they are stored (bank & slot)
Bear in mind that this will not fix your songbook - songbook is merely lots of "pointers" so if a song is looking for a resource (style) it will expect it to be in a particular location (bank & slot.)

You may have to re edit all the songbook entries (DIRECT ones) that use DIRECT locations for styles and change them to the new loaded locations. SONGBOOK editor should help with this.

Hope this makes sense

Pete Very Happy

Yes Pete every line makes sense now. Got some good ideas starting with Save All. Then looking at songs/styles that I never use ??? I will be careful to take one song at a time.

Look forward to reporting back.

PS. The HD Drive that you helped me with has opened up loads of space and options.

Thanks, take care.
