I'm trying to set up my Nautilus with Windows 10 laptop & Studio One to record the MIDI and audio over USB in Studio One and I'd appreciate some help please.

I've connected the USB cable. I've changed the settings in Global to turn local control off and set the USB 1 & 2 to L/R.

I've set up Nautilus as the audio interface and selected the Windows drivers.

I can record MIDI and also when I play the Nautilus I can see MIDI data being sent to Studio One track but I just can't hear anything. I've played around with the Windows settings, selecting Nautilus headphones which is an option. I've also tried different audio out settings but nothing allows me to hear the sound.

Does anyone have any suggestion please? I can't think of anything else to try and I'm wondering if anyone else has managed to resolve this issue and set up their DAW to record the MIDI & audio over USB?

Thanks!

Col.

If you set "Local Control" to off, the Nautilus internal sound generator does not engage when you play the keybed, although MIDI data is being sent to the computer and your Nautilus will react to MIDI events coming from the DAW.

If data is being sent from the Nautilus to Studio one, you should be able to record a small track and then hit play on Studio One and you would hear the Nautilus play the music.

I think that unless you are trying to work with an external virtual instrument on the computer, you are better served by leaving "Local Control" to ON.
