|
|
So, I took the plunge and bought my PA4X but ......... the dealer only had the Musikant version in stock and told me that it was the same instrument but had additional styles onboard.
When it arrived I could see straight away that it is different from the international version but being a complete novice (this is my first Arranger keyboard) I don't know what to do. The dealer is happy to take it back and will order me an international Pa4X or I could keep the Musikant keyboard if it's an improvement.
I prefer the black finish of the International model but the grey is not a deal breaker, I am more concerned about the resale value when the time comes. Are these sought after? Appart from the cosmetics and additional styles I don't know if there are any other differences.
Your help and opinions would be very much appreciated. |

What can I say. You made great deal. Korg pa4x Musikant, in my humble opinion is much better polished in terms of styles, sounds, keyboard sets or vocal processor presets.
Hardware aspects are the same for both versions.
Please be informed, that this regional (german) version is much expensive!
All kind of updates if appears have applicable to the both versions, although, those updates are different distributions.
I personally use Korg pa4x Musikant, and I wouldn't change it into International, even if someone wanted to pay extra money. _________________ Korg pa5x vs Genos 2 - spec comparison |

Hi
don 't know much about the musikant, but might be worth downloading international pa4x manual and check if they have the same styles and sounds as well as the additional ones the musikant apparently has.
Also if the song book is the same, and the sound sets.
You might be able to find some additional information online.
Just out of interest,

Found this online, are your style buttons written in English or German? _________________ best wishes

Style buttons are a mix, Some in English and some German, same with the Sounds buttons. The majority of the other buttons/controls are in English with one or two exceptions. |

I think I have read in a post or somewhere that the Musikant was all German language, both layout and OS?
Never seen a close up picture of it to see the text clearly, only the international version where all in english. _________________ Cheers 🥂

Mostly English Layout and OS but to be fair the few German labels are easily interpreted. All menus etc are in English it's only really some Style names and bank Names that are in German together with a few button labels. |

Tnx for clarifying. Make it easier for me to choose what to choose when time come.
The "German buttons", is that similiar function / same location as the international only with german text, or is it added specially for the Musikant version? _________________ Cheers 🥂

Hi
I think they must be limited to the European market, we don't appear to have them here in Aust. Only the international and the oriental version .
They don't even appear to be on the Korg website.

You're right Rikki, it's specially for the German and also European market. Lots of styles and sounds fit for german schlager and ploka, waltzes and oldie etc. ( https://www.thomann.de/intl/index.html )
German schlager is very similiar to Scandinavian "country&danseband" etc.

Yeah, it might do, but international version are probably better if think next step and next upgrades. Probably a larger amount of buyers for 2nd hand....
The musikant styles will probably be to find anyway, just as for PA3 and earlier models.
You got my mind fly nostalgic ....
Technics was way ahead the others for that time, and the easy and userfriendly OS still has to be beaten.
Anyway, tried Ketron and now Yamaha T4 and Korg MicroArr, I'm very tempted to go the Korg way. PA4 sure sounds good!
Keep on the good work Rikki, nice to see you're still going strong. _________________ Cheers 🥂
