|
|
Hi - I just purchased an emx1 that appears to be in excellent condition. All works well, the adapter looks in pretty nice condition as well. My only issue is that after using for an hour or so, I noticed the back center-right gets pretty dang warm. I’m guessing this is normal for a synth with tubes and all metal casing. I just wanted to make sure before the warranty runs out at GC if indeed this is not normal.
As a second inquiry - the sine and triangle waves are extremely snappy unless they have some cutoff added. Is this a matter of taste for using sine waves like this? My mc707 gives you a choice if you want hard or soft sine waves. And most synths have an ADSR to trim the attack ever so lightly. I kind of like the percussive aspect but it also sounds poppy like a badly chopped sample. |
