Hello All
I have a ER 1 that is in need of repair. The parameters are changing itself constantly, it’s also sending out ghost midi control messages when nothing is running or touched.
I’d brought it in to a Korg authorise service center, they could not do a repair as parts are no longer available.
What can I do with my ER1? Can anyone can fix it?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks all |

Without you saying what parts the service centre is claiming are not available, it sure sounds just like dodgy encoder(s). If this is the case, then the MIDI messages will be the same controller that the faulty pot(s) control which you could check using a MIDI monitor. I would try some electrical clean and lube on the encoders before anything else. |

I’ll have a look at what are the midi messages and match them to the control, I agree with you that it’s likely related to pot. Would be great if I can get them swapped. Fingers crossed.
Thanks @slug ! |
